Ugears SMART Steampunk Airship

Create a floating house in the sky, attach it to a balloon and fly through the clouds to have exciting adventures with the Steampunk airship. This craft project features the distinctive retro steampunk style that Ugears is known for. It includes a cabin and aft deck that resemble those of a tugboat, a charged rubber band engine with a start/stop switch, propellers driven by a motor, a rotating ship’s wheel, movable stabilizers and wheels that allow the model to move back and forth up to 2 meters over a flat surface, creating a sense of mechanical motion.

German inventor Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin worked on his concept and design for more than 20 years before patenting his inflatable airship in 1895. Perhaps one of his early sketches resembled the airship from the Steampunk genre? Commercial zeppelins have large cylindrical bodies of fabric stretched over a rigid metal frame, with large gas bags for buoyancy. Our airship is smaller-scale, more personal and homey.
